CAR THERAPY
I have been around the car industry all of my life. I have worked in the custom chrome industry, watching people chrome individual pieces on their cars while bringing their project to life. I always enjoyed listening to the people talk about their passion for the car they were working on. There are hundreds of magazines showing these cars and giving a short snippet of the story. Have you ever wanted to read more or dig a little deeper? I have because of my memories of the cars in my driveway and my parents. This book is going to dig into those stories and find out
I am addicted to owning old books, and not reading them. I rescue old cars and start too many projects at the same time. I enjoy playing the guitar when I have the energy to take them off my wall. I think I will have another glass of wine and write some more. It is who I have become...
My Rides
A poem written about a 67 Impala during season 5 episode 22 of the television show Supernatural. The car is just as big of an actor in the show as the two main characters.
1968 Mustang Coupe She received her name when I bought her there was a giant Wolf Spider hanging out on the radiator. A four hour trip later and it was still there. Then, during the tear down process we found 6 Black Widow spiders and all their dead husbands.
A road trip with my family and the officer was taking forever so I decided to photograph the incident. By the way I didn't even get a warning! He just told me to have a nice day and a safe trip.
1968 Mustang Coupe that is my wife's Mustang. She was the first of the classics to arrive at my house.
Lots of work and trading parts for a new engine. She will start, but you can put your foot through the floor to stop her. A long way to go.
A side view after a 4 month restoration. It is my son's car that was totaled, but he fell in love and together we brought her back to life.
We were test fitting wheels.
An attempt for me to ghost this on the hood. Trust me it looks better on film than up close. Eventually, the car got repainted by a professional.
My Son's Toy. After a lot of hard work, a complete rebuild of the front end, a rebuilt engine right after she was originally bought, the car is looking her best. The door hinges was another story that took 3 days to get right. There is always some sort of adventure with this car and my son who is now a car enthusiast.
